It is amazing what a city or place can transform into for filming\npurposes. But the best filming locations are those that have been left\nuntouched. Whether it be a historical monument or a beautiful city, the true\nbeauty is kept unchanged in a movie. So if you are a big movie fan but aren’t\nsure where to start your travels, check out the list below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Bocca della Verita (Mouth of Truth), Rome, Italy<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In the famous movie, Roman\nHoliday<\/em>, the character played by Audrey Hepburn decides to on a tour of\nRome with Gregory Peck\u2019s character. The two end up at this little place in Rome\nwhere the Mouth of the Truth is located. Legend has it that if you are a liar\nand put your hand in the mouth of this statue, your hands gets cut off. Legends\nmay not always be true, but why not check out this place and see for yourself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Greece <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If you have ever seen the movie Mamma Mia!<\/em> then you will know that it takes place in Greece. Many\nparts of the movie was actually filmed in Greece. The crystal clear blue water\nin the movie does not compare to the real life beaches in Greece but it entices\nyou to wait to visit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Tuscany, Italy<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Under the Tuscan Sun<\/em>was\nfilmed almost entirely in the beautiful countryside of Tuscany. As the\ncharacter of Diane Lane tries to rebuild her life in a new country, she becomes\nclose to nature through her Tuscan Villa. Visiting the rolling hills of this\nwine country should definitely be at the top of your bucket list. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Cape Ann, Massachusetts<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Almost everyone is familiar with the picturesque town of\nCape Cod. But not everyone is aware that there is another beautiful city near\nthe Cape with breathtaking views. Manchester\nby the Sea <\/em>was filmed in Cape Ann and throughout the movie you are able to\nsee the beauty of Cape Ann. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. London, England<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Even though London is home to the Royal family, that should\nnot be the primary reason to visit London. The movie, Love Actually<\/em>, was filmed throughout places in London and it has\ntugged at heart strings all over the world. Visiting the city that gifted the\nworld the Royal family, the Beatles, and David Beckham should be at the top of\nyour to do list! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. India<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The movie Slumdog\nMillionaire <\/em>not only won the Best Picture award, it also won the hearts of\neveryone around the world. If you visit India, you will get to see the rough\nparts of the country along with the most beautiful parts. No country is perfect\nand visiting India is definitely worth your time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. Las Vegas, Nevada (Voted 1 of the Top Destinations Inspired by Movies)<\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Las Vegas is on almost every travel destination list in the world.\nIf you have seen the movie The Hangover<\/em>,\nthen you will want to try and recreate the actions in the movie with your\nfriends. But be careful, enjoy your time in Vegas but do not overdue it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

8. The Caribbean <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Any place you visit in the Caribbean is surrounded by\nluxurious sandy beaches and amazingly clear water. The Pirates of the Caribbean <\/em>movie franchise has skyrocketed the\ntourist numbers for all of the Caribbean islands. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

9. Salzburg, Austria<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The hills are alive with the Sound of Music<\/em>, almost quite literally. The filming of that movie\nwas partly done in Austria. You can recreate the adventure that Julie Andrews\u2019\ncharacter had by dancing and singing on the gorgeous mountain tops of Austria. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

10. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The second largest city of Pennsylvania has an amazing\nskyline. The filming of the movie Fences<\/em>\nwas heavily done in Pittsburgh. The blue collar history of this amazing city\nmakes it the perfect destination for an All American vacation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

11. South America <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Since South America is extremely beautiful but a large\ncontinent, it is hard to choose which country to visit. 12. Tibet, China<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Tibet is not the richest place in the world but it is rich\nin culture and history. The movie, Seven\nYears in Tibet <\/em>depicts the struggles of man and the history of Tibet. Although\nTibet has been divided up by China, they have maintained their own language,\ncurrency, and army. Wouldn’t it be amazing to visit such a strong country with\ngreat values? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

13. Chicago, Illinois <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Windy City has been at the center of many movies such as\nChicago<\/em> and Ferris Buller\u2019s Day Off. <\/em>These movies bring character to the city\nand helps attract thousands of tourists a year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

14. Bali, Indonesia <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Trying to find yourself is half the battle in life, but if\nyou visit Bali, you can get one step closer. Like the movie, Eat, Pray, Love<\/em>, you can embrace a new lifestyle\nin Bali. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

15. Fiji<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Being stuck on a deserted island may not be too bad if you\naren’t alone.  But in the movie Castaway<\/em>, Tom Hanks\u2019 character was stuck\non a Island by himself. While this island may not have been the prettiest, it’s\nfilming location was in Fiji. Fiji is a perfect place for diving lovers to\nvisit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

16. Berlin, Germany<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
